Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Mise at Home, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License & Use

Grant of License

Fin-Free C. Corp. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Mise at Home for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the App for commercial use
• Use the App to develop competing products or services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its servers
• Use the App for any illegal or harmful purpose
• Share your account login with others or use someone else's account
• Impersonate another user or provide false information

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

3. Intellectual Property

App Ownership

All content, design, code, and features of Mise at Home are owned by Fin-Free C. Corp. and protected by copyright and intellectual property law.

Your Content

You retain ownership of recipes, grocery lists, and other content you create in Mise at Home. By using the App, you grant Fin-Free C. Corp. a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and improve the App based on your usage patterns.

4. Food Safety & Health Disclaimers

IMPORTANT: Mise at Home is for informational purposes only.

• The App is NOT a substitute for professional nutritional advice, medical guidance, or professional food safety practices (HACCP, food handling certifications, etc.).
• Recipes and nutritional information are generated by AI and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying all information independently.
• Allergen information is based on user input and third-party data. We cannot guarantee accuracy. Always verify allergen information with official sources and consult a healthcare provider if you have severe allergies.
• The App does not monitor food expiry dates or storage conditions. You are responsible for ensuring food safety.
• If you suspect foodborne illness or have an allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention.

You use the App at your own risk. Fin-Free C. Corp. is not liable for any health, injury, or property damage resulting from the use of recipes, ingredients, or food guidance provided by the App.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account login
• All activity on your account
• Accurate health and allergy information you provide
• Verifying all food safety and nutritional information independently
• Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Mise at Home is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

IN NO EVENT SHALL FIN-FREE C. CORP. BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, revenue, or profits
• Any food-related illness, injury, or property damage
• Errors in recipes, nutritional information, or ingredient data
• Third-party claims or actions

YOUR SOLE REMEDY is to stop using the App.

7. Third-Party Services

Mise at Home integrates with Google OAuth, Emergent.sh, and LLM providers (Gemini, Anthropic, ChatGPT). We are not responsible for their services, data practices, or outages. Review their terms and privacy policies.

8. Account Termination

Fin-Free C. Corp. may terminate your account immediately if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in illegal activity
• Violate another user's rights
• Misuse the App

Upon termination, your access to the App and your data will be disabled (unless you request deletion per the Privacy Policy).

9. Changes to the App & Terms

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through:

1. Good Faith Negotiation (30 days)
2. Mediation (if negotiation fails)
3. Arbitration or Litigation in Alberta courts (as a last resort)
